Feb. 04, 2006 Ladies and gentlemen, I am a person that can admit when I didn't have all the facts. And truth be told, I didn't have all the facts when I talked about kids needing to be spanked more. There's a man in Cincinnati that used to be on City Council, that got in trouble for beating his son. His son was being a kid, which basically means he was acting like an idiot. This councilman said he wasn't going to put up with his shit and he beat the hell out of him... like a good parent does. He's my new hero. Currently he's on trial for doing this, and I hope he gets let go. He was simply spanking his kid because his kid needed to be spanked. The problem here is, the kid wound up with welts on his body from the beating. So it now apparently turns from a spanking to a beating. I think welts are a good idea. They hang around to remind the kid to stop acting like an ass. And this brings me to my next point. How many kids play football? How many of those kids come home with bruises and welts and sprains and broken bones from football practice and/or games? Is anyone on trial for that? No. Because that's what happens when you play football. So if you can get in trouble for spanking your kid, do you get in trouble for allowing your kid to play football? Doesn't seem right, does it? So here's where I didn't have all the facts. I thought that corporal punishment was illegal in the United States. Corporal Punishment, for those of you that don't know, is the act of kicking your kids' ass when he/she fucks up. As it turns out, Corporal Punishment is only illegal in a few States. Ohio allows it. I thought it was illegal all over. But it's not. That makes me happy. Now I know that I'm legally allowed to beat the piss out of my kids when they screw up. I mean, I was going to anyway legal or not, but now the law says it's ok. The only problem is, you can no longer beat them. I will, of course, but it's not allowed. Corporal Punishment IS allowed, but it was basically rewritten. You can't leave marks now. When I was a kid my parents beat me so bad that others thought I was a black kid for a few weeks until the bruises healed. Now that's not allowed. But you can spank them, and believe me when I say I will definately spank my kids. Sure they might bleed, but that's because I'll love them. That is, if I ever have kids, which I probably won't. But I'm leaning more towards having them now that I can legally spank them. I hate people that say all spankings are beatings. Then should be beat down and then spanked so they know the difference. |
